Introduction to sonship

Blessed be our Father and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly place in Christ Jesus. I would love to acknowledge God for gracing me with an opportunity through His Spirit to write the article on “The birth rights of the firstborn sons”

Through the whole bible we learn the significant of the firstborn sons and the rights they possessed. The sacred scripture declares in Exodus 4 vs. 22 that God choose Israel to be his firstborn son. We also learn in Psalms 105 vs. 36 that he smote the firstborn of Egypt because Pharaoh refused to release Israel his firstborn.

Exodus 4 vs. 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:
Psalms 105 vs. 36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength.

I am sure you will remember that immediately after God lost us in the Garden of Eden he promised us the seed of the woman who will bruise the devil. Later he said to Adam the whole world will be blessed in thy seed. Thought Israel God begot his firstborn son, the firstborn of all creatures, the firstborn among many brethren, Christ our savior.

Hebrews 1 vs. 6 And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

You will notice that through faith in Christ Jesus we all are the seed of Abraham and as seed we are all the same, equal, one and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3 vs. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The holy scripture declare that if any one be in Christ Jesus, he is a new creature, meaning you have been recreated and are born into the new family whom Christ is the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Corinthians 5 vs. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In conclusion:
the sacred scripture says we are members of the same body, the church of Christ who is the head and we are the body. The bible also declares that we are the church of the firstborn, meaning we are all firstborn in Christ Jesus. As firstborn we are kings, priests and heirs of the double portion of the inheritance of our Father and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 12 vs. 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
May God's be mercyful and cause the light of His face to shine upon you.
